About Jeremy Rappoport
Mr. Jeremy Rappoport is the President of Rappoport Development Consulting Services
LLC, providing
forensic arboriculture, landscape, horticulture and site construction expert witness
consulting services for the legal and insurance industry. RDCS LLC also
provides professional arborist, landscape, horticulture and site construction consulting
services for residential and commercial property owners, management companies, homeowner
associations, homebuilders, and land development companies.
Jeremy’s interest in landscape led to his studies in landscape architecture, contracting
and horticulture at California State Polytechnic University Pomona, where he graduated
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture, emphasis in landscape
contracting. After graduation, Mr. Rappoport founded Landscape Horticultural Services,
a C-27 California landscape contractor, #436000.
Mr. Rappoport continued his career in landscape construction as Landscape Superintendent
with The Baldwin Company, developer of Carmel del Mar, a 1,500-acre master planned
community in North City West, a community in San Diego.
Mr. Rappoport was promoted to offsite superintendent with Continental / D.R. Horton
Homes, developers of Rancho Carrillo, an 800-acre master planned community in Carlsbad,
CA. Jeremy was responsible for supervising subcontractors for mass and finish grading
improvements, wet and dry utilities, street and road improvements, retaining walls,
fences, monuments and enhanced surfaces, landscape, irrigation, common area improvements,
biologic mitigation and habitat restoration projects.
Mr. Rappoport was promoted to Director of Operations for Starwood Santa Fe Valley
Partners, LLC, where he directed development and construction of an 800-acre premier
custom gated community in Rancho Santa Fe, California known as Crosby National Golf
Club and The Crosby Estate in Rancho Santa Fe.
Mr. Rappoport was recruited by K. Hovnanian Homes as their Director of Land Development
for the Southern California Coastal Region including multiple single and multi-family
projects throughout San Diego, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Mr.
Rappoport developed pro-forma development budgets for land acquisitions, directed
a team of direct reports and provided tri-annual budget updates to the Regional
President.
Possessing
decades of field supervision and senior management experience, Mr. Rappoport
established RDCS LLC. His expert opinions are based on three decades work experience
and education in landscape, horticulture, arboriculture and site construction. His
experience and critical thinking enable him to distill relevant facts and form honest,
impartial expert opinions based on forensic investigation, discovery and
technical findings.
Mr. Rappoport is an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture)
certified arborist #WE-9083A and certified tree risk assessor #CTRA 1220.
